Do i have to be flexible to start?

It is a common myth that you have to be flexible to start yoga. It is the opposite, though. Yoga itself will improve your flexibility, among other things. There are no prerequisites to begin a yoga journey. No one is too beginner to start.

What equipment do i need?

For in person sessions, we will provide you with a yoga mat and blocks to borrow. For virtual sessions, you may use a yoga mat, rug, or towel to start.

What are the benefits of yoga?

The practice of yoga is physical, mental, and spiritual. As such, the benefits of yoga are multidimensional as well. Yoga will help to improve your strength, balance, and flexibility. In addition, by practicing yoga you will develop and nurture a deep connection with your breath.

Will yoga conflict with my religion?

It is most important to consider what you feel comfortable with, and what your religion says with regards to this topic. While yoga has roots in Hinduism, practicing yoga itself does not equate to practicing Hinduism or worshiping other Gods.
